Two countries that share a sea, on one chest
Neither hand carries the American flag on this one, and that is the point. The left hand wears Italy, green then white then red in three vertical bands following the curl of the fingers. The right hand wears Morocco: a deep red field across the whole hand, with the green interlaced pentagram drawn open in the middle of the palm, five points, outlined rather than filled. The hands meet and leave a heart open between them, black, and PERFECT HERITAGE runs below in thin white capitals.
Who it’s for
Families that are both, and there are many more of them than any rack suggests. Milan, Turin, Bologna, and the towns of the Rif and the Souss on the other side. This is the pairing that never gets printed, because it does not involve the United States and so nobody bothers.
The detail that matters
The Moroccan star is left open, drawn as five interlaced lines rather than a solid shape. That is how the real flag draws it, and filling it in is the single most common error on any print that uses it. Here you can follow each line under and over the next.
