Two bands, and nothing else needed
Poland has the simplest flag in this whole series, and the design does not try to improve on it. The right hand carries white across the top, over the fingers and the back of the hand, and red across the bottom, running out along the forearm. Two bands, one edge between them, no crest and no eagle. The left hand carries the United States, stars on blue out on the forearm and the red and white stripes over the fingers. The hands meet and hold a heart shaped opening between them, left black. PERFECT HERITAGE runs below in thin white capitals.
Who it’s for
Chicago above all, where the Polish community is one of the largest outside Poland itself, and then Milwaukee, Detroit, Buffalo and the parishes of New Jersey. Eight and a half million Americans claim Polish ancestry. This is a shirt for a name that gets misspelled at every appointment, worn without any need to explain it.
The detail that matters
White on top, red below, in that order, always. Reversed it becomes Monaco or Indonesia, which is the sort of mistake a Polish grandmother spots from the other side of a room. The order is right here, and the boundary between the two bands falls exactly where the fingers curl.
