Eu Te Amo, Portuguese I Love You Heart Tee

Brazil and Portugal both claim this line, and both of them are right.

Eu te amo, from Brazil and from Portugal

A painted heart in two watercolor washes, warm rose meeting pale blush, edges deliberately unfinished. The phrase lies across it in white script, the capital E opening with a long tail that sweeps down and to the left well past the paint, before the underline picks the words back up and carries them to the right. Solid red hearts, five of them in three sizes, punctuate the wash: one in the cleft at the top, one small under the middle, two low and one falling clear of the point. Specks sit at the upper left and along the right edge, like paint flicked off a brush, and the black fabric holds it all together.

Brazil or Portugal, no flag either way

Both sides of the Atlantic claim it, and both are right. This eu te amo portuguese shirt reads the same in Newark and in Lisbon, which makes it a good pick for a Brazilian-American couple, for a Portuguese-speaking parent, or for someone learning the language because of a person. There is no flag on the design, so nobody has to choose a country.

How the three words are spaced

The three words are set loosely, with air between them, so the phrase spreads across the chest instead of bunching up in the middle. It is the kind of decision nobody notices until it goes wrong.
