Je t’aime, and nobody needs it explained
Two watercolor washes, rose on one side and blush on the other, overlap into a heart with soft torn edges. The phrase is written across the upper half in bright white script, small enough to stay entirely inside the paint, with a long underline curving away beneath it. Red hearts in flat crimson break the softness: a big one in the cleft at the top, a small one under the middle of the words, two more toward the bottom and one drifting below the point. Tiny specks of paint sit off to the left and right, and the black fabric swallows the rest.
