Four lines, two colors, no picture
Heavy condensed capitals, left aligned, stacked four deep and filling the chest. YOU ARE sits in warm cream, then NOT lands in hard red at the end of the first line. QUALIFIED takes the second line entirely in red, and it is the widest word in the block. TO TALK follows in red. TO ME closes underneath, back in cream. There is no illustration, no outline, no distressing. The whole design is the sentence and the moment where the color turns.
Who it’s for
The friend with the dry delivery. It is a joke about self-importance told by someone who obviously is not, which is what keeps it funny instead of unpleasant, and it gets read out loud in a bar more often than most shirts get looked at.
The detail that matters
The color break lands on NOT and stays through QUALIFIED. Put the red anywhere else in that sentence and the joke flattens; put it there and the eye stresses the words the way a voice would. Cream rather than white also matters: on black it reads warmer, and it stops the whole thing from looking like a meme printed on cotton.
